In modern production facilities, the canteen is no longer just a transit point, but a strategic asset for employee welfare. However, the need to expand services often clashes with the long timelines of traditional construction. How can you build a safe, comfortable, 900-square-meter structure without turning the company into a construction site for years?

The answer lies in the evolution of prefabricated modular construction. Our latest project is proof: a complete corporate restaurant, operational after just 4 months of installation.

From listening to the “tailor-made” project

At Gnodi Service offices, every project begins first and foremost with listening. Our philosophy is not to impose a standardized shape, but to shape the space around the client’s vision.

In our technical department, the flexibility of prefabricated modules becomes pure architecture. We transform ideas into precise executive plans, designing a solution tailored to those who will use it. It was not simply a matter of assembling containers, but of orchestrating 69 structural elements to create a unique, harmonious environment with great aesthetic impact, both inside and out.

Modular kitchen and seismic safety

The project is divided into two functional macro-areas. The first is dedicated to meal production: a fully equipped professional kitchen zone. Here, Gnodi Service’s experience in collective catering allowed us to design optimized workflows, guaranteeing ergonomic spaces compliant with the strictest health and safety regulations.

Particular attention was paid to structural safety. As the location is in a seismic risk zone, the entire modular complex was firmly anchored to the ground to withstand potential seismic stress. The solidity of prefabricated modular units is today comparable, if not superior, to that of traditional construction, with the added advantage of time certainty.

Comfort and design: beyond the concept of a “canteen”

Technical aspects merge with aesthetics, especially in the second macro-area: the large dining hall, capable of comfortably hosting 200 people. We wanted to go beyond the idea of a simple “refectory”: the space is spacious, with carefully managed natural and artificial light, soundproofing, and a curated selection of furnishings and colors. It is a true corporate restaurant where employees can recover energy and build relationships.

Comfort is also guaranteed by invisible but essential technical solutions, such as the installation of a double roof. This technical choice ensures excellent thermal insulation, protecting the environment from summer heat and winter cold, while reducing energy consumption. An HVAC system also ensures the optimal temperature in every season.
